Recently, the controlled detailed plan for Xiamen Marine High-tech Industrial Park (the Park for short) was approved. It will become the only marine-oriented high-tech industrial park in Fujian. Located in the southern part of Xiangan District, the Park occupies a total area of 10.27 square kilometers. Positioned to primarily accommodate businesses of the second industry with those of the tertiary industry following afterward, the Park will be built into a highly exemplary demonstration area of marine economy. It is expected to be built into a provincial-level high-tech industrial development zone in three to five years.
