On May 24, the Joint Conference of Overseas Economic and Trade Agencies 2022 cum the Working Conference of Overseas Liaison Offices (the Conference) was held in Xiamen, during which representatives from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Xiamen Committee (CCPIT Xiamen, also known as Xiamen Chamber of International Commerce) announced the establishment of its liaison offices in Mexico, Uganda, Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), and Israel. By now, CCPIT Xiamen has established 50 overseas liaison offices across 44 countries and regions in the world. The Conference was attended by nearly a hundred people from various trade promotion councils onsite or online. The mechanism of joint conferences of overseas economic and trade agencies, founded in 2013, has become an important platform for and an effective driver of communication, exchanges, and cooperation among all overseas economic and trade agencies. It now serves as a think tank for the purpose of constructing Xiamen into a highly-civilized and modernized international city.
