On March 29, 2023, the Xiamen Alumni Economic Alliance Conference was held in Xiamen. Over 250 alumni representatives from across China gathered to discuss science and technology innovation and explore opportunities for alumni economic development. The alumni economy serves as a crucial driving force for Xiamen's top-notch progress, and the alumni's skilled workforce constitutes the primary impetus behind the city's innovation and growth. During the meeting, the Xiamen Alumni Economic Promotion Association (XAEPA) was officially inaugurated. The Xiamen Alumni Economic Alliance was established in July of last year, and thanks to the unwavering support of its alumni, the Alliance has experienced significant growth. Currently, it boasts a membership of 96 colleges, universities, and small to medium-sized schools both domestically and internationally. Xiamen has recently inked city-school strategic cooperation agreements with renowned academic institutions such as Xiamen University, Tsinghua University, and several other universities. Additionally, the city has successfully incorporated 49 significant alumni projects, with a staggering investment of over 100 billion yuan. The Alliance aims to further enhance its efforts in promoting alumni economy.
